The event will highlight the Institute’s mission to create social change through education and community empowerment. Elmer Dixon, co-founder of Seattle’s Black Panther Party chapter, will give a lecture and book signing focused on the BPP’s survival programs and their relevance today. He will discuss how these initiatives supported communities and how similar efforts can be applied now. Educator Ambassadors will also share how they are bringing equity and justice into their classrooms and beyond.
